Addiction has become an epidemic for Americans across the nation, and Pompano residents are not exempt from these concerns. The use of drugs and alcohol is present in many Florida residents’ lives, and those looking for a way out may have some problems getting started at a drug or alcohol rehab facility. Often, patients will wonder how they can maintain their employment and tend to their families while they are making the necessary changes to remove addiction from their life. An intensive outpatient rehab program, also known as an IOP rehab, will put those concerns aside with the flexibility offered within the program.
An intensive outpatient treatment program is designed to allow patients to manage their rehab program coupled with their home and work life. An IOP rehab program gives you access to the exceptional levels of care offered within our treatment facility through our evidence-based therapy methods. To heal from addiction, you will need to understand the emotional ties associated with your addiction and begin to heal from those self-destructive emotions and thinking. While working on yourself, you will have added support from our counselors to integrate sobriety into your home environment and daily routine.
Who Needs IOP Rehab?
Often patients who have completed an inpatient drug rehab program will transition into an IOP. Going from the structured, supportive environment of an inpatient drug rehab program back into your home life can drum up many emotions for patients. An IOP gives patients the sense of security in knowing that they are supported in this transition with the ongoing support of our therapeutic team.
Other patients who are ready to change their addiction but can’t commit to an extended break from their day-to-day life will choose an IOP. This provides residents of Pompano with a great starting point for their addiction treatment program through one-on-one support and counseling from our onsite counselors.
What to Expect in IOP Rehab
As you begin your IOP, you will meet with one of our counselors, who will get to know your goals for sobriety and time in rehab. From here, we will create an individualized rehab plan that will have you attending the center for therapy and the support of a personal recovery coach. You will be in touch with your coach consistently as you learn the life skills to support a life in recovery. Along with coming to the center for individual and group therapy sessions for a minimum of nine hours a week, you will be encouraged to incorporate community meetings such as 12-steps or SMART recovery meetings into your weekly routine. This will provide you with a well-rounded recovery plan that still molds into your life while maintaining your work or school responsibilities.
