When you complete your behavioral health treatment program at Legacy Healing Center, it’s understandable that you may want to begin focusing on rebuilding relationships with friends or loved ones that you may have lost touch with during the time that you were in active addiction. After treatment for drug addiction, one of the best ways to reconnect is to put together plans for fun outings with people you care about. A day out enjoying a game of golf could be a great option.
Golf can help you take advantage of the benefits of being outdoors while still interacting with the people who are important to you. Additionally, golf allows you to be active, which should be an essential factor in your recovery plan.
If you plan to spend a fun time with a special little one, it may be difficult for that child to grasp the concept of a traditional game of golf. However, mini-golf is a great alternative, and you can play here:
Keystone Mini-Golf & Arcade
Keystone Mini-Golf & Arcade is an excellent place to visit because of its mini-golf course and fun arcade. This location is open until midnight twice a week so that it can be a fun night excursion.
Of course, if your child does show an interest in golf, you may be eager to help them develop their skills. The Golf Science Center can help you or your little one fine-tune your skills. You can book an appointment with one of our talented instructors, or you can take advantage of playing a virtual game of golf.
If you’re looking for more competitive courses, Philadelphia also offers the following courses:
John F. Byrne Golf Course
John F. Byrne Golf Course provides golfers with a variety of challenges in each hole. The rules of obtaining an excellent score throughout the game are strict, with a mix of several hazards along the way. It’s important to note that proper golf attire is mandatory to tee off at this location. You have the option to either walk around to each hole or, if you are over the age of 18, you can rent a golf cart. Do you not own a set of clubs? No problem. You can rent a pair for your game.
Merion Golf Club is known as one of the most prestigious golf clubs in the area. Although this golf course is a short drive from Philadelphia, it is undoubtedly worth it. Before you can tee off, you will need first to become a member of this golf club. From there, you will be able to log in to a special section of their website where you can schedule a specific tee time.
Many people opt to play a round of golf simply because they can play the game surrounded by beauty. If this is you, then check out these courses:
Cobbs Creek Golf Course
Cobbs Creek Golf Course will provide you with not only a great round of golf but a scenic environment. This location is a particularly excellent place to golf during the fall when the leaves start to turn or during the spring when everything is just beginning to bloom.
FDR Golf Course is a prime example of a course the features sprawling green fairways. It’s recommended that you book your tee time at least a few days ahead of the time you plan to go to ensure that you can play your round of golf when you would like to on any given day.
