There are countless consequences of addiction. Over and above putting your psychological and physical health in jeopardy, there is also a high likelihood that your relationships with your friends and family suffered as well. Once you’ve overcome your addiction and returned home to Baltimore, one of the things that you may be eager to do is to re-establish these relationships. Golf is a relaxing but challenging sport that can help you reconnect with your loved ones.
While you are in the process of working through a recovery program at Legacy Healing Center, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the importance of your physical health. In fact, if you would like to work out with a personal trainer, we can set you up with one. Taking the step of working out and eating healthy while you are at Legacy can improve your golf game when returning home.
Before you make plans to go out for a round of golf, it’s important to keep in mind that most golf courses do have the option to purchase alcohol. If this makes you feel uncomfortable, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t go and enjoy a game of golf. You would just need to make sure that you bring a sober friend or family member with you. Here are some places in Baltimore to play:
Monster Mini Golf
If you are trying to determine whether your little one has any interest in golf, you may want to start by bringing them to a mini-golf course. Located just a few minutes outside of Baltimore is Monster Mini Golf. This is an indoor mini-golf course that is ideal for families because it’s a location you can go to regardless of the weather. One of the unique attributes of this location is that it is a go-in-the-dark course with a Halloween theme. Monster Mini Golf is seven days a week, but the hours vary, so you want to check ahead before your visit.
As you begin to enjoy golf, you may want to take steps toward improving your game. Here are some of the most challenging:
Clifton Park Golf Course
The Clifton Park Golf Course was first developed in 1915, making it the first public golf course in the area. As one of the historic golf courses in Baltimore, you can count on going to this golf course and experiencing a challenge. It’s important to note that the fee time hours change each week depending on whether it’s a weekday or a weekend.
One of the reasons Baltimore golfers flock to Forest Park Golf Course is because this location features a challenging 9-hole course and a driving range. Some of the challenges you will find at this location include large trees, hilly terrain, and long fairways. This course is excellent for a golfer that doesn’t have the time to play a traditional 18-hole round but would still like to enjoy the sport on any given day.
Baltimore does not lack beautiful golf courses to enjoy the scenery, including:
Pine Ridge Golf Course
Pine Ridge Golf Course is one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Baltimore area. This course has also hosted several PGA tournaments, which means this course is not only beautiful but challenging. If you would like to work on your golf skills, you can book a private lesson.
Mount Pleasant Golf Course was specifically designed for both new and experienced golfers. Like other courses in the area, it’s recommended that you book your tee time ahead of time. If it happens to rain on that day, this course does allow for rainchecks. If you would like to get your golf game early in the morning, this location offers an early bird 9-hole course.
